Obituary for Mae Campbell

Mae “Loretta” Campbell, 82, of Canon City, was called home May 22, 2017, at Skyline Ridge Nursing Home. She was born April 27, 1935 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Jesse and Nota Fallin. In 1940, Loretta was baptized at the Indian Creek Baptist Church on the Brazo River in Mineral Wells.
Loretta was raised on a farm with her parents and four siblings. She was active with 4-H for many years and loved to can the many vegetables her family raised.
In 1953, she attended college and worked as a cashier. She met an Air Force soldier, Clyde I. Campbell, Jr. and in 1962 the two were married in Austin, Texas. Together, they raised three amazing children and lived as an “Air Force Family” for 20 years.
Loretta is survived by her children, Alan Dale Campbell, of Littleton, CO, Wanda (Tim) Hasty, of Florence, CO, Clyde I. (Danial) Campbell, III, of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Tommy Lee Hasty, Tabitha Hasty, Jesse Campbell, Clyde I. Campbell, IV; two great-grandchildren, Bryson Hasty, Carlee Hasty, of Florence, CO; siblings, Jeanette Chastan, Sonny Fallin, Marshall Fallin and Wanda Patton, of Whitt, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Loretta’s request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
