Margaret "Maurine" Carlton
Margaret (Maurine) Carlton died peacefully in Canon City on
January 4th, 2018. She was born on January 18th 1930,
in Canon City, to Emil Frank and Lucille Rahe.
She was married on February 25th 1951to Robert M. Carlton.
They had three sons and a daughter:
Ronald R. Carlton of Nashville, TN, Frank R. (Wilma) Carlton of Fort Collins, CO, Jack E. Carlton of Canon City and Janet M. Carlton of Canon City.
Maurine was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her
sister Marjorie. Maurine is survived by her sons and her daughter. She is also survived by two grandsons: Cameron M. Carlton of Fort Collins, CO and Sean D. (Alexys) Carlton of Fort Collins, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. Maurine was a graduate of Canon City High School. She worked for a while as a nurse's aidat St. Thomas Moore Hospital. She then spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker caring for her family. Maurine was a kind and caring person.
She touched many lives in numerous ways and always saw the good
qualities in the people she met. She loved "The Farm" and spent
hours sitting in her rocking chair, watching the deer and geese that frequentedthe fields. Services will be held on Monday January 8th at 10:00 a.m.with a private viewing at 9:00 a.m. at the Wilson Chapel on South 9th Street and graveside services following at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home.
