Rodger Allen Mulvaine, 78, of Canon City, passed away February 1, 2018. He was born in Marion, Ohio on September 11, 1939 to Darold and Ava (Gruber) Mulvaine. On April 20, 1963, Rodger married Mary King. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 27 years, where he served as a Health Services Administrator and Physician’s Assistant. In addition, he was the Director of Operations for Valley Wide Incorporated for ten years. Rodger was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Lions Club and was a member of the Canon City Marine Corps League for many years.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Mulvaine; children, Kimberly Mulvaine Powell, of Pueblo, Todd Allen Mulvaine, of Arvada, Roger Eric Mulvaine, of Traverse City, Michigan; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack Mulvain, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, half-sister, Tony Mulvain Bailey, of Ohio; half-brother, Pat Mulvain, of Ohio, numerous extended family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Mulvain.
The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Rodger to his funeral service, 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018, Holt Family Chapel of the Garden, Chaplain Ray Linebaugh of the Canon City Marine Corps League officiating. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery with full military honors.
