Peter "Pete" Kober
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter (Pete) A. Kober announces his passing on April 18th, 2018, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Peter was 24 years old, and will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Herb and Angie Kober of Westcliffe, CO, his brother Erik Kober of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his many family and friends in Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Germany.
Peter was born on November 4th, 1993, in Beverley, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He lived most of his life in the Neenah, WI, area, attending Neenah High School from 2008-2012. Peter recently moved to Westcliffe, CO, to be closer to his immediate family, and pursue the things he loved.
He worked for Tony’s Mountain Pizza in Silver Cliff, Colorado. He had a heart of gold, was passionate about music and making pizzas, loved his rescue cats Tiki and Boah, loved hunting for animal bones and sheds, and loved to spend time and laugh with friends and family. Peter’s family sincerely appreciates those who accepted, befriended, and cared for him exactly as he was, and a very special thank you to his lifelong friend, Alex Gajewski, who was always there for Peter, no matter the circumstances.
Peter struggled with various effects of Klinefelters Syndrome (47,XXY) for much of his life. Klinefelters is often misdiagnosed because it does not present obvious physical symptoms. It is one of the most under diagnosed chromosomal disorders.
Plans for a celebration of Peter’s life are in process. His family will celebrate his life every day, in everything we do. Peter will also be with us as we strive to visit the places he would have loved to see, and do the things he wanted to do. This journey will be shared on his Facebook account so family and friends can be part of this healing process.
If so desired, a memorial donation can be made in Peter’s name to the Association for X and Y Variations (AXYS), https://genetic.org/category/47xxy/.
