Barbara Brown (Charles)
Barbara Jane (Charles) Brown, 88, of Canon City, Colorado passed away June 25, 2018. She was born to the late Clarence Charles and Maude (Foley) Charles November 7, 1929.
She was a graduate of Center, Colorado High School before moving to Canon City with her late husband Clarence Roland Brown. She was a homemaker noted for her remarkable cooking and ensuring that the family’s appearance and house sparkled. She was a nurse working for numerous doctors and aiding the elderly around the neighborhood. She never asked for anything in return.
Barbara enjoyed dancing, crafts, camping, fishing, and later in life talking to Sharon everyday on the telephone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Juliet) Brown of Canon City, Colorado and Sharon (Curt) Crum of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Kenneth (Grace) Charles.
Memorial service, 1p.m., Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Wilson Memorial Chapel, 1449 S. 9th Street, Canon City, Colorado, Larry Weaver officiating.
