Frank Monahan Jr., Age 71, passed away on July 14, 2018 in Canon City, Colorado.
He was born on December 7, 1946 in Covina, California to Frank Monahan Sr. and Edna Vanderbilt (neé Armstrong).
Frank was a US Army Vietnam veteran. Not long after his military service was completed he went to work for the Portec Company where he worked for 30 years as a welder until his retirement.
All of his family will miss Frank and knew him as a man of the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and he taught all of his sons and grandsons to do the same.
Frank is preceded in death by both of his parents and mother-in-law, Louise Aragon.
He is survived by his two sisters, Jean Harp and Dot Hodnet as well as one brother, Don Hoza; Four children, Frank Monahan (Cindy Gall), Mona Monahan (James Coulter), Jamie Monahan (Monica Monahan), Joshua Monahan; eight grandchildren, Carly Monahan, Michael Monahan, Jacob Monahan, Alex Provost, Layla Monahan, Delilah Monahan, Owen Monahan, Trevin Monahan: two great grandchildren, Eric Monahan and Josyles Rivera.
